 Installing Ioncube on Unix Shared Hosting Accounts (Linux) with PHP4
Solution Ioncube is a free program which can be added to servers to increase the speed of PHP scripts/coding. What these optimizer do is make multiple passess over the code to increase the speed of the scripts and you can get up to a 33% boost in speed by using these programs.

To install Ioncube on a Unix Shared Hosting Account (FreeBSD) with PHP4 all you need to do are the following:
  1. Download Ioncube here.
  2. Uncompress the tar/gzipped package.
  3. Create a directory called 'ioncube' which will contain the contents of the uncompressed package from step 2 and this directory should be placed in or above the top directory of encoded files/web files. Which in your case will be in "/hsphere/local/home/username/"
